Automatic Coupang affiliate links — paste a Coupang product link and it becomes a Partners link
Connect your Coupang Partners API keys and a plain Coupang product link turns into a tracked affiliate link the moment you save it. You no longer have to go to the Partners site and build links one by one.
What it does
- Automatic conversion: put a Coupang product link on a product and save, and it becomes an affiliate link. To convert before saving, press Convert to affiliate link in the product form. Once conversion finishes, the address field itself becomes the affiliate link, so the address you see on screen and the address your visitors open are always the same.
- Coupang product search: instead of copying a link over, press Search Coupang products in the product form, find the item by name, and pick it — the name, image, price, and Partners link are filled in at once.
- Failures are shown: when Coupang will not build a link, for example because the item is no longer sold or is not eligible for the affiliate program, we do not quietly leave the original link looking like an affiliate link. The reason appears on screen.
How to turn it on
- Issue an API Access Key and Secret Key on the Coupang Partners site. The link to the issuing page is in the "Approval checklist" on the integration screen.
- Go to Dashboard > Integrations > Coupang Partners, paste both keys into the Register API keys card, and press Save and check status. Keys are stored encrypted and are never shown again.
- If the status reads Connected, you are done. If it reads Approval pending, register your live UUP page addresses as activity pages on Coupang Partners, add a disclosure to each page, then press Check status again.
Two conditions apply. Your plan must be Basic or higher, and the keys you issued must receive final approval from Coupang Partners before conversion actually happens.
Good to know
- Product search allows keywords of up to 50 characters, 8 times per hour (50 characters is Coupang's limit; 8 per hour is UUP's own cap, set below Coupang's). Viewing an earlier result for the same keyword does not use up a search.
- Even before approval, or on the Free plan, you can paste an affiliate link you built yourself on the Partners site into the product address field and use it as is.
- Links copied from search results or recommendation lists carry extra parameters and may be rejected for conversion. Open the product page itself and use the link from the address bar.
- Disconnecting does not change product links you have already saved. Only links saved after that point stop being converted.
- On pages that carry affiliate links, add a disclosure to the notice bar, such as "This page may earn a commission through the Coupang Partners program."
