How to Read Coupang Partners Reports (2026) — What Each Performance and Earnings Report Means, Why the Numbers Don't Match, and What Reports Can't Tell You

A few days after posting your links, you open the report screen. There are six menus, and the same word — "earnings" — points to a different number on each one. Why are today's clicks zero? Why does this month's earnings figure differ from the payout report? Why does a product you never linked show up as sold? At first glance it all looks like errors, and most of it is an illusion that comes from not knowing how the reports are structured. Coupang Partners is Korea's largest affiliate program, and its reports have a structure worth learning once. This article explains that structure and the meaning of each field based on the official guide, walks through three situations where the numbers seem wrong, and then covers the one question Partners reports structurally cannot answer — and how to fill that gap.

Before you read: Report menu and field names follow the official Coupang Partners user guide (February 2025 edition, checked September 2026). Names may change if Coupang redesigns the screens. This article is written by the UUP team, who build per-product click and DM funnel analytics.

Reports come in two groups — performance and earnings

Reports on the Partners site split into performance reports and earnings reports. The first is "advertising effect" (how many clicks, what sold); the second is "money" (confirmed earnings and payouts). Half the confusion comes from treating the two as one screen.

GroupReportWhat it shows
PerformancePeriod reportDaily/monthly trend of clicks, sales, orders, earnings, conversion rate (graph)
PerformanceDynamic banner reportEarnings from dynamic banners, plus impressions and eCPM (earnings per 1,000 impressions)
PerformancePerformance detail reportProducts actually purchased (name, product ID, quantity) and the link that produced each purchase
EarningsEarnings summaryThis month and last month at a glance
EarningsSettlement reportLast month's earnings confirmed on the 25th of the following month
EarningsPayout reportWhat was actually paid to your account

An Instagram operator looks at two of these daily: the period report and the performance detail report. The earnings side needs a look twice a month (confirmation on the 25th, payout on the 15th) — that flow is in the payout schedule article.

The five numbers in the period report

The period report has five metrics, and the guide defines each like this.

MetricMeaning
ClicksNumber of clicks on your Partners links
SalesPurchase amount generated through Partners activity
OrdersNumber of purchases made after clicking a Partners link
EarningsYour commission from those sales
Conversion ratePurchases relative to clicks (orders ÷ clicks)

Three things to keep in mind when reading it.

  • It only goes back 90 days. The period report shows the most recent 90 days. The guide itself recommends downloading reports regularly or checking the settlement report if you need longer history. If you want quarter-over-quarter comparisons, a month-end download habit is the answer.
  • Earnings can be negative. If a customer who bought through your link cancels, that earning is deducted and can show as a negative number. Not an error.
  • The downloaded file is a per-product total. Values are aggregated by product ID and link ID within the chosen period, and you can look up a product ID or link ID on Coupang to see which product or link it is.

The performance detail report — what sold, from which link

If the period report is the trend, the performance detail report is the ledger. It has six fields.

  1. Date range — up to 90 days
  2. Product — what was actually purchased (name + product ID, orders and quantity)
  3. Link type — totals by kind: product link, quick link, banner, widget
  4. Link ID — a single link you created
  5. Channel ID — the sub ID (SubID)
  6. Conversion rate — orders ÷ clicks

Two things here surprise first-time readers.

Products you never linked show up as sold. The guide answers this directly — Partners credits you for everything a customer buys within 24 hours of arriving on Coupang through your link. So the detergent bought by someone who clicked your tumbler link lands in your performance detail. What counts and what doesn't is covered in the 24-hour rule article.

Link IDs are attached per link. The guide describes link ID as "information on the link/banner/widget you posted," and in the detail report as "a single link you created." So if you create a different link for each placement, there is room to split the detail report by link — but the official material does not state that recreating a link for the same product always yields a new ID, so after splitting your links, check in the detail report that they actually separate. Channel ID is filled only when you created the link with a SubID — empty is normal if you didn't.

Three situations where the numbers look wrong

SymptomReasonWhere to check
A link posted today shows zero clicksThe performance report is not a real-time screen; it is aggregated daily and monthly. The official material does not pin down the update time, so check again a day laterTomorrow's period report
This month's earnings summary differs from settlement/payoutThe summary is a running number; the settlement report is the confirmed figure on the 25th of the next month with cancellations and returns removed; payout is the part of that which met the conditionsSettlement report, then payout report
There are earnings but no payoutPayout requires final approval + at least ₩10,000 in last month's earnings. Shortfalls carry overSettlement status in the settlement report (hover "carried over" for the reason)

The guide also says performance is counted even before final approval, and that earnings accumulated so far are kept even if approval is rejected. A non-zero number before approval is not a mistake.

What reports can't tell you — where that click came from

That is everything Partners reports can tell you. But an Instagram operator has one more question that matters: did that click come from the profile link, from a DM replying to a comment, or from a Story? Clicks in Partners reports are per-link totals, so if you placed the same link in three spots, all three collapse into one number. You can create separate links per placement and split by link ID (and, as noted above, you first need to confirm they actually separate), but as posts multiply, managing links becomes a bigger job than managing performance.

That question is best answered where the link sits — on your page and in your DMs. A UUP link page shows today's and lifetime clicks per product right in the editor; Auto DM shows the funnel from comment detected → DM sent → link clicked, per automation; and channel analysis tells you, per channel, whether a visit came from an Instagram DM, from a UTM-tagged Instagram app link, or from somewhere else (how to build UTM links) — it does not split placements within Instagram, such as profile versus Story. Coupang product URLs convert to Partners quick links automatically when saved (BASIC and up, on an account that has registered a Partners API key issued after final approval — on the free plan you paste a quick link made on the Partners site).

Two limits, stated honestly. First, UUP's auto-conversion does not attach a SubID to links, so you cannot separate UUP traffic by channel ID in Partners reports; where traffic comes from is read on the UUP side, through per-product clicks, the DM funnel, and channel stats. Second, click counts on the two screens will not match. UUP excludes bots and drops repeat clicks on the same product within 5 seconds in the same session; Coupang counts by Coupang's rules. Don't try to reconcile absolute values. Read "where is it coming from" from UUP's per-product clicks and DM funnel, and "so how much sold" from the Partners report.

FAQ

Why are report clicks lower than my link page clicks?

Because who counts, and when, is different. UUP counts the moment our link is clicked, minus bots and duplicates; Coupang's "clicks" are whatever Coupang records by its own rules (the guide defines it only as "the number of clicks on Partners links"). Possible contributors include connections dropped mid-redirect in an in-app browser, visitors bailing at the "open the Coupang app" step, and differing bot and duplicate rules on each side — but how much each contributes is not confirmed by public material. Don't try to make the two numbers agree; read each for its own purpose.

Do Instagram operators need the dynamic banner report?

Dynamic banners are script-based banners for blogs and websites, so if you only run Instagram this report is empty, and that's normal. Impressions and eCPM exist only for those banners.

Can I pull report data via API?

The Partners API includes a reporting API that provides daily clicks and performance (per the guide's API overview). The guide also states the API is not required — for an individual operator, the on-screen download is enough.
