How to Create Coupang Partners Links (2026) — Partners Site, Coupang App, and Auto-Conversion

You signed up for Coupang Partners, and then you stall at "so where do I actually make a link?" That happens because there is more than one way. Coupang Partners is Korea's largest affiliate program, so most Korean creators run into this question sooner or later. There is the way you search and build on the Partners site, the way you pull one straight from the share button in the Coupang app, and the way a link turns into a Partners link by itself the moment you register a product — and which one is easier depends on the situation. This article walks through the three routes in order, and ends with two things that will cost you approval or commission if you forget them, whichever route you take.

Menu names on the Partners site are based on public materials as of September 2026 and may change if Coupang reorganizes them. This article is written by the UUP team, who build the Coupang link auto-conversion feature.

Route 1 — Build it on the Partners site (the standard way)

Log in to partners.coupang.com and you will find a Create Link menu at the top. There are several things you can build there.

TypeWhen to use it
Product linkWhen you are recommending one specific product — search, pick the product, copy the link
Quick Link BuilderWhen you want to paste in any Coupang page address (product, promotion, search results) and turn it into a link carrying your ID
Dynamic banner, category bannerWhen you want to surface several products at once on a blog or website
Search widgetWhen you want visitors to search for themselves

If you run an Instagram account, you will mostly use just two of them: product link and the Quick Link Builder (the Partners site menu that converts any Coupang URL into your own affiliate URL). Making a quick link takes three steps: copy the address of the Coupang page you want, paste it into the Quick Link Builder on Partners, then copy the short address it generates. That short address (in the link.coupang.com/… format) is your Partners link.

This menu opens right after you sign up. That said, activity before final approval becomes material for the approval review, so it helps later if you keep a list of the page addresses where you posted links (see the article on getting approved).

Route 2 — Pull one straight from the Coupang app (when all you have is your phone)

In the Coupang app, go to a product page → ShareCopy Partners link, and a link carrying your Partners ID is created on the spot (you need to be logged in with the same Coupang account as your Partners account). This is the fastest option when you are shooting Reels and want to make a link for the product you just showed, right then and there. This route was confirmed against public materials, so if you do not see this item on your app screen, check for an app update and which account you are logged in with first.

Route 3 — Make it convert by itself when you register (auto-conversion)

When you are making links one or two at a time, either of the methods above is fine. The problem starts when you have dozens of products, and those links live on your link page and in Auto DM buttons as well. Open the Partners site every time, convert, copy, paste — and eventually one of them stays a plain Coupang link. Any purchase made through that link is not your commission.

UUP has auto-conversion to remove that step. Here is how it works.

  1. Issue an API key (Access Key and Secret Key) from Coupang Partners and register it with UUP. The button to issue a key only opens after final approval from Partners, so before approval you paste links made via route 1 yourself.
  2. From then on, when you put a plain Coupang address on a product and save, it is converted in the background into a Partners quick link, and visitors get the converted address (the original is kept). The same applies when you attach a product to a button in an Auto DM.
  3. Press the editor's Convert to affiliate link button and the address field itself changes to the converted address — the address on your screen and the one that opens for visitors become one and the same.

A few honest limitations, noted here too.

  • If conversion fails, we do not leave the original link posing as a Partners link. We tell you why it failed and ask you to paste in a quick link you built yourself. Links with parameters attached, like an address copied from search results, are often rejected by Coupang; in that case we retry once with a basic address stripped down to just the product number before giving up. A product page whose sale has ended gets rejected on that fallback too.
  • The free plan does not include auto-conversion. Instead, you can paste in a quick link you built yourself via Route 1 — the link itself works on any plan. Auto-conversion is on BASIC ($3.99/mo) and above.
  • Product search, which pulls in product names, photos, and prices, stays within Coupang's search API ceiling (50 characters per search term, about 10 calls per hour) — UUP enforces 8 per hour per user to leave headroom. Exceeding it triggers blocking on Coupang's side, so it cannot be raised.

Two things you must not forget, whichever route you take

First, the affiliate disclosure. Every post and page that carries a Partners link or banner must prominently display the sentence "이 포스팅은 쿠팡 파트너스 활동의 일환으로, 이에 따른 일정액의 수수료를 제공받습니다" (This posting is part of Coupang Partners activity, and a certain commission is provided accordingly). Hanging one notice on your profile does not make every post compliant. On a UUP link page you can insert this sentence from the notice bar with a single checkbox, and we warn you if the disclosure ends up below the products. Auto DM cards have a disclosure chip too. Captions on Instagram posts and the first comment on Reels, however, are for the operator to write.

Second, the 24-hour window. Partners commission only counts for purchases made within 24 hours of a link click. So "where you put the link" matters more to your revenue than "how you make the link" — a structure where the link goes out by DM right after someone comments creates the click at the hottest moment. Exceptions and conditions to the rule are in the article on the 24-hour attribution rules.

Frequently asked questions

Can I shorten the link even further?

The quick link Partners generates is already short. If you run it through an external shortening service on top of that, you take on the risk of lost tracking or blocking yourself. If you do not want visitors to see a long address, a better structure is to put it behind a product button on your link page or a button on a DM card — we covered that in the article on shortening links.

If a purchase comes from a link I made before approval, does the commission count?

Activity before final approval is used as grounds for the approval review, and whether commission is recognized and how settlement works follow official Coupang Partners policy. This article does not make a definitive claim about that part — for the settlement flow, see the article on settlement and payout dates, but for revenue recognition before approval, the right move is to check the official Partners FAQ.

Auto-conversion says "failed" but the link looks fine

Coupang rejected that address format. Copy the basic address from the address bar on the product page (up to the product number only) and paste it in again, or build a quick link directly on the Partners site and paste that in.
