SocialBiz Auto DM: Which Accounts It Fits (2026) — Contact-Based Billing vs Flat Rate, Compared With UUP

Before you read: SocialBiz pricing and features were checked on September 5, 2026 at the [official SocialBiz pricing page](https://socialbiz.nhndata.com/price); UUP prices are official pricing as of the same date. Both can change without notice, so re-check each official page before deciding. This article is written by the team that builds UUP.

People searching for "SocialBiz auto DM" usually fall into two groups: those who find ManyChat's USD billing and English UI inconvenient and want a Korean tool, and those already on SocialBiz wondering why this month's bill looks the way it does. SocialBiz is a Korean DM automation solution run by NHN DATA. Its feature set is broad, but the price changes every month based on the number of "contacts". This article splits which accounts that structure favors and which it punishes, and puts it side by side with UUP's flat rate.

(All SocialBiz prices are Korean list prices in KRW.) Three things to read together:

  • The billing unit is a "contact" — a unique person you exchanged messages with that month. The official page says "this month's fee is determined by the number of contacts last month." Your bill is the result of last month's performance.
  • Each connected Instagram account is billed separately. Two accounts means two base fees.
  • Personal officially supports 10 of 17 features. Which 7 are missing is in the detailed table on the pricing page; a dedicated support manager, onboarding, and phone support start at Business.

The feature range is wide: post and Reel comment replies, story replies and story mention replies, FAQ, message menu, DM auto-reply, and ad keyword replies (beta) — seven trigger types — with replies as text, image, carousel, or product card. It also splits followers from non-followers into different scenarios and has a per-message-type dashboard.

Who contact-based billing helps, and who it hurts

Contact billing is cheap when you use little and expensive when things go well. Whether that is good depends on your comment volume.

  • Accounts with 200 or fewer commenters a month: ₩5,000 is among the lowest in the market. Reasonable for brand accounts with occasional inquiries or the odd event.
  • Accounts where a Reel takes off are different. In comment-triggered DMs, a contact is a commenter. The moment you pass 200 commenters, Personal jumps from ₩5,000 to the ₩25,000 tier, and past 1,000 it adds ₩2,500 per 1,000. For a group-buy seller whose launch day floods comments, the best-selling month brings the biggest bill.
  • Running several accounts multiplies the base fee.

Flat rate is the opposite: 10 comments or 10,000, same price, so success doesn't come back as a bill. In exchange, you pay the same in a quiet month.

Let's be honest. What SocialBiz has and UUP doesn't: story reply and story mention triggers, FAQ, message menu, and team member management for up to 5 people. If your brand account sends automatic thank-you DMs on story mentions, or several people share the operation, SocialBiz fits.

What UUP has and SocialBiz doesn't lives outside the DM: auto-conversion that turns sent links into Coupang Partners (Korea's largest affiliate program) revenue, a link page where products are displayed, and analytics that follow "how many DM recipients clicked which product." If comment → DM → link → click is your revenue axis — group-buy sellers, affiliate creators — UUP fits.

The 30-second test

  1. Is there a month when commenters exceed 200? If so, compute the ceiling of contact billing. If not, SocialBiz Personal is cheaper.
  2. Are the links you send revenue links? If Coupang or affiliate links are central, a tool with link conversion and click analytics gives you time back.
  3. Do you need story mentions or an FAQ menu? Then SocialBiz. UUP doesn't have them yet.

You can try UUP for 14 days without a card, so the most accurate move is to draw a month's bill from your real comment volume first. General criteria for choosing a tool are in How to Pick an Instagram Auto-DM Program; a one-table price roundup of seven tools is in Instagram DM Automation Price Comparison.

FAQ

Is a SocialBiz "contact" a message count or a person count?

A person count. The official FAQ says sending several times to the same person is not double-billed. In comment-triggered DMs, though, a commenter is a contact, so it moves almost in step with comment count.

Does UUP really have no recipient limit?

Comment-triggered Auto DM on DM Pro and Ultra costs the same regardless of recipients. The limits are on Meta's side: the first automated reply is one per comment, and follow-up cards go only within 24 hours after the person replies. That rule is the same for every tool.

Can I use both?

Technically, one Instagram account can connect to two tools, but you get both tools replying to the same comment or one intercepting the webhook. Connect only one auto-DM tool per account.
