Instagram DM Automation Price Comparison (2026) — ManyChat, SocialBiz, Litt.ly, Inpock, Kittychat, Bizgo, and UUP in One Table
Before you read: Every price here was checked directly on the official pricing pages on September 5, 2026 — ManyChat · SocialBiz · Litt.ly · Inpock Link · Kittychat · Bizgo. Prices change without notice; re-check before deciding. This article is written by the team that builds UUP.
Search "Instagram DM automation price comparison" and the tables never quite line up, because every tool uses a different unit. Some bill in USD, some in KRW; some count "contacts," some count "active contacts," some charge a flat rate. This article lines up seven tools against the same three questions: how far does free go, what's the paid starting price, and does the bill grow when comments grow?

Seven tools in one table
| Tool | DM automation on the free plan | Paid starting price | Billing unit | When comments grow |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ManyChat | Yes — 25 active contacts/mo, 4 automations, branding shown | Essential $14/mo ($168/yr) — 250 contacts included | Active contacts; $0.10 per extra (Essential) | Bill rises |
| SocialBiz | No (2-week trial, card required) | Personal ₩5,000~/mo — 200 contacts included | Contacts; the 201–1,000 tier is ₩25,000/mo | Bill rises |
| Litt.ly | Yes (with watermark) | Pro ₩2,450/mo (annual discount price) — DM watermark removal needs Brand at ₩9,450 | Flat plan | Stays flat |
| Inpock Link | No — Auto DM is Manager tier only | Manager ₩18,900/mo (2 weeks free) | Flat plan | Stays flat |
| Kittychat | Yes (FREE $0) | Starter $13/mo, Pro $22, Expert $49 | Flat plan; extra account $12/mo | Per-plan limits on the official page |
| Bizgo | Free up to 500 people/mo | PRO price not published (sales consultation) | People messaged per month | Bill rises (rate unpublished) |
| UUP | No — 14-day trial (no card, all paid features) | DM Pro $8.49/mo ($79.99/yr) | Flat plan, unlimited recipients | Stays flat |
KRW figures are Korean list prices. USD prices exclude tax and the final amount depends on billing country (ManyChat's official note). For KRW tools, check each page for whether VAT is included.
Question 1 — How far does free go?
Tools where you can actually operate comment-triggered DMs for free: Litt.ly, Kittychat, and Bizgo up to 500 people a month. ManyChat's 25 free contacts, after the March 2026 overhaul, is effectively a sandbox — one Reel with 30 comments ends the month's allowance (the overhaul explained). SocialBiz, Inpock, and UUP have no DM automation on free and use a trial period instead.
When choosing free, weigh the tag more than the limit. Litt.ly free puts a watermark on DMs; ManyChat free shows branding. The question is whether someone else's brand stamped on messages to your customers is acceptable.
Question 2 — What's the paid starting price?
Lowest first, ordered by Korean list price: Litt.ly Pro (₩2,450, but the DM watermark stays) → SocialBiz Personal (₩5,000) → Kittychat Starter ($13) → ManyChat Essential ($14) → UUP DM Pro ($8.49, Korean list price ₩11,900) → Inpock Manager (₩18,900). Bizgo's starting price is not public.
One common illusion: tools with low starting prices are mostly contact-billed, so the starting price is "the price when you have 200 or fewer people a month." That's why the next question matters.
Question 3 — Does the bill grow with comments?
In comment-triggered DMs, contacts are the number of people who commented. Imagine a Reel takes off and a month brings 1,200 comments:
| Tool | That month's bill (computed with official rates) |
|---|---|
| ManyChat Essential | $14 + 950 extra × $0.10 = about $109 — in practice, moving up to Pro ($29, 2,500 included) is cheaper |
| SocialBiz Personal | ₩25,000 tier fee + ₩2,500 for the 200 beyond 1,000 = ₩27,500 |
| Litt.ly, Inpock, Kittychat, UUP | Plan price unchanged |
The math plugs in official rates as-is; actual bills vary with automatic plan upgrades, annual discounts, and so on. The point is the direction, not the number — usage billing costs most in your best month; flat rate costs the same in a bad one. If months over 200 commenters are rare, usage billing is cheaper; if group-buy launches or Reels bring comment floods, flat rate is predictable.
What splits them beyond the price table
Not every "DM automation" contains the same thing. Check two more things after the table.
- Is there a step after the DM? UUP DM Pro at $8.49 includes, beyond DM automation, a product-first link page, auto-conversion of Coupang product URLs into Coupang Partners (Korea's largest affiliate program) links (BASIC and up), and funnel analytics from DM to click. Assemble the same from a DM tool plus a link-page tool and you have two subscriptions. Conversely, there are clearly things UUP lacks — SocialBiz's story mention replies and FAQ menu, Litt.ly's digital file sales. Tool-by-tool differences are in SocialBiz compared, Litt.ly alternative, and Inpock Manager alternative.
- Billing currency and support language. ManyChat and Kittychat bill in USD with English-first UI. Korean tools bill in KRW with Korean-language support. UUP is Korea-focused with an English and Japanese UI; support is currently in Korean.
FAQ
Which tool is cheapest?
It depends on comment volume. Under 200 people a month, SocialBiz Personal (₩5,000) or Litt.ly free is cheapest; if any month exceeds 1,000, flat-rate tools become cheaper. Compute "the cheapest tool at my account's scale," not "the cheapest tool."
ManyChat's prices look different from before.
The March 2026 overhaul cut the free limit from 1,000 to 25 and moved billing to active contacts. ManyChat figures here are from the official page on September 5, 2026 (Essential $14 · Pro $29 · Business $69 · Advanced $139, monthly billing).
What happens when the UUP trial ends?
No card is on file, so nothing is charged automatically. Without payment you drop to the free plan (link page and basic analytics) and DM automation stops. Data is retained for 90 days.
