How to use Toss Sharelink — signing up and issuing links, when a commission counts and how it's paid, the disclosure line, and where to put it on Instagram
Toss Sharelink (토스 쉐어링크, also called Toss Shopping Sharelink) is the affiliate program of Toss Shopping, the shopping service inside Korea's Toss finance app: you post Toss Shopping product links on your channel, and when a qualifying purchase comes through your link, you receive a commission. Once you try it, the questions pile up. Do you need to be a registered business? Does the app's "general link share" count? When does the money arrive? Where on Instagram do you put the link? This post follows the official Toss Shopping Sharelink guide in this order: sign-up → issuing links → what counts as a commission → payout → policies to follow → where to put it on Instagram.
Before you read: The Toss details come from the official Sharelink site and the official Sharelink guide — its sign-up, link creation, attribution rules, payout, disclosure, operating policy and FAQ pages (checked 2026-10). Commission rates, promotions and payout rules can change, so check the guide's notices before you start. This post is written by the UUP team, which builds link pages and comment auto-replies (Auto DM). UUP has no partnership with Toss.

1. Sign-up — you don't need to be a business
Summarizing the official Sign up page:
| Item | Official guidance |
|---|---|
| Who can join | Korean residents aged 19 or older. You don't need to be a business. Foreign nationals currently can't join |
| Types | Individual (non-business) / sole proprietor (simplified taxpayer) / sole proprietor (general taxpayer) / corporation |
| What individuals need | Your name, resident registration number, and a bank account in your own name |
| Signing up on the web | A separate Toss Business sign-up is required. Finishing Toss Business alone doesn't complete the Sharelink application |
| After sign-up | Register one creator name and at least one channel URL you actually share on |
For the channel, enter the full URL that opens your profile directly — for Instagram, something like https://www.instagram.com/yourid/. You can register several channels. The official docs don't mention link pages specifically, but since they ask you to add each place where you actually post Sharelinks, it's tidy to register your link page URL too if you plan to collect products there.
If you're a Toss Shopping seller, you can't issue Sharelinks for your own store's products, and activity on your own store's products isn't counted (official attribution rules).
2. Issuing links — "링크 발급" on PC, "팔릴 때마다 돈 버는 링크 공유하기" in the app
Only links you issue yourself are tracked. The official Create and share links page gives two routes.
PC (Sharelink site)
- Log in and open 링크 → 베스트 랭킹 (Links → Best ranking) or 링크 → 상품 조회 (Links → Product search) in the left menu.
- Pick the product you want to introduce.
- Click 링크 발급 (Issue link) in the list or detail screen. The disclosure line, product name and Sharelink are copied together, and "링크를 복사했어요." (Link copied) appears.
- Links you made before can be copied again from 링크 → 링크 관리 (Links → Manage links).
Toss app
- On a Toss Shopping product detail screen, tap the upward-arrow share icon.
- In the share menu, choose 팔릴 때마다 돈 버는 링크 공유하기 (share a link that pays you every time it sells).
- Pick an app to share to, or copy. The product name, Sharelink and commission notice are included.
The most common mistake is tapping 일반 링크 공유하기 (general link share) in the app. The official page says links made with general link share "are not counted toward Sharelink commission." A product URL copied from the browser address bar isn't your Sharelink either. Issued links usually look like a short toss.im/_m/… address.
3. When a commission counts — 24 hours, last click, actual payment amount
From the official How commission arises and Which purchases count? pages:
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Base commission rate | 5% (of the qualifying payment amount). A separate rate may apply during promotions |
| Attribution window | The buyer pays within 24 hours of clicking your link |
| When the 24 hours start | Not when you issue or post the link, but when the buyer taps it and lands on the product page |
| If several links were clicked | Credited to the last link clicked before payment |
| If a different product is bought | Within 24 hours it can count as an indirect sale |
| Repeat purchase of the same item | Counted per purchase if each meets the conditions |
| Basis | Actual payment amount after cancellations, refunds and discounts |
The official pages also list what doesn't count: buying through your own link, cancellations or refunds before purchase confirmation, abnormal transactions such as cross-purchases through family or friends, products restricted from link issuing or commission, and a seller's own store products. Oasis products count only as direct purchases, not indirect ones. Even an issued link can later stop qualifying for commission, so the guide tells you to check its status in 링크 → 링크 관리 on PC.
Blog reviews may quote different rates, but as of 2026-10 the official guide's base rate is 5%, and a separate rate may apply during promotions. To compare with Coupang Partners' 24-hour rule, see Coupang Partners 24-hour rule.
4. Payout — the 25th of the month after purchase confirmation
It isn't paid at checkout. From the official Payout schedule page:
- Purchase confirmation: Done automatically 7 days after delivery (sooner if the buyer confirms first). It isn't something you, the sharer, have to do.
- Payout date: The 25th of the month after the month of purchase confirmation, or the next business day if it falls on a weekend or holiday. Orders confirmed in September are paid on October 25.
- Sale month and settlement month differ: Paid on August 31 and confirmed on September 9 means it's in the September settlement and arrives October 25.
- Refunds after confirmation: Once confirmed, a later refund doesn't reduce the confirmed amount.
- Minimum payout: A balance of at least ₩10 when the settlement is finalized. From the July 2026 settlement, a ₩1–9 balance is forfeited rather than carried over.
- Tax invoices: General-taxpayer sole proprietors and corporations must approve the reverse-issued tax invoice from Toss on Popbill by the 15th of each month (no holiday extension). Individuals and simplified taxpayers skip this.
- Termination: To end the Sharelink contract, contact Toss Shopping customer support. Deleting your Toss Business account and ending the Sharelink contract are separate (official FAQ).
5. Policies to follow — disclosure, no link edits, no image edits
Toss's operating policy says violations can lead to withheld commission or contract termination. Here are the ones easiest to trip over on Instagram.
The disclosure line is mandatory. The official Displaying the disclosure page says displaying it is "not optional but an obligation you must follow," and that if it's missing or hard to see, "commission payment may be withheld or the Sharelink contract may be terminated." The recommended line (keep the Korean original as-is):
이 콘텐츠는 토스쇼핑 쉐어링크 활동의 일환으로, 링크를 통한 구매가 발생하면 일정 수수료를 지급받습니다. (This content is part of Toss Shopping Sharelink activity, and a commission is received when a purchase is made through the link.)
The short version is "[광고] 토스쇼핑 쉐어링크 활동으로, 링크 구매 시 수수료를 지급받습니다." ([Ad] As Toss Shopping Sharelink activity, a commission is received on link purchases.) The guide says to avoid using only expressions like #ad, #sp or 제휴 링크 (affiliate link) that don't make the commission clear. The guide also asks you to write the line in the same language as the post. Placement depends on the channel.
| Placement | Official guidance |
|---|---|
| Instagram & short-form | The opening text visible on the first screen, inside the image or video, or near the product scene. Not only visible after tapping "more" or swiping to the next image |
| Profiles & link collections | In the area with the Sharelinks or close to each link. Even if shown on the profile, each product post needs it too |
| Blogs & cafés | Title, intro, or right before the product. Not only at the end |
Don't alter the link. The intellectual property section of the policy lists "arbitrarily modifying links or logos not provided by Toss" as grounds for termination. Paste the issued link as-is.
Don't create invalid clicks or auto-launches. The policy says "invalid clicks, auto-launching, excessive click inducement and any method against the user's intent are all prohibited." Floating banners that follow and cover content are also banned.
Product images stay original. Thumbnails and detail images may be used to introduce the product, but thumbnails are preferred, and cropping, compositing, editing or translating them is prohibited. If the detail page says images may not be used, don't use even the thumbnail.
No unsolicited message ads. Sending links by messenger or text to people who don't want ads is prohibited. Posting Sharelinks in comments on other people's posts is listed as a banned example too, as is running search ads on Toss or Toss Shopping keywords.
For the same breakdown on Coupang Partners, see Coupang Partners disclosure text.
6. Where to put it on Instagram — caption links aren't clickable
URLs in Instagram captions and comments aren't clickable, so in practice there are three places for a Toss Sharelink.
| Placement | What it's like |
|---|---|
| Profile link (link page) | Where you collect multiple products. Tell people "link in profile" in the caption |
| Story link sticker | One link per story, gone after 24 hours → Story link sticker |
| DM to people who comment | The "comment and I'll send the link" approach. Goes only to people who ask → Instagram comment link |
Links tapped inside Instagram open in Instagram's in-app browser. The official FAQ says that depending on whether the Toss app is installed and logged in, or which app opened the link, Toss home or the app store may open instead of the product. A one-line note asking followers to keep the Toss app updated and logged in cuts down on questions. What happens in the in-app browser is covered in Instagram in-app browser links.
Organizing Toss Sharelinks with UUP
What to know when you add Toss Sharelink products to a UUP link page:
- You issue the links yourself. UUP doesn't create Toss Sharelinks for you, and there's no automatic link conversion or product search like there is for Coupang Partners. Paste the link you issued on the Sharelink site or in the Toss app.
- Fetching photo and product name: Paste a Toss Shopping share link or product URL into the "affiliate product URL" field in the product editor, and it offers to fetch the photo and product name. The photo is the product page's original main image, and the name is filled in only when the title field is empty. Price can't be fetched — it can't be read from Toss product pages, so enter it yourself. The pasted link is left unchanged.
- Automatic disclosure line: If a public link page has even one Toss Sharelink product, Toss's recommended line appears automatically right above the product list, on every plan including Free. If your notice bar already has the same line, it shows only once. Plain product URLs without a tracking value like
karen't Sharelinks, so they don't trigger it. If Coupang Partners products are also present, the Coupang disclosure shows separately. The line stays in Korean, since Toss checks the original wording. - DM card disclosure: When an Auto DM card's subtitle is empty, disclosure chips for Coupang Partners, Toss Shopping Sharelink and Naver Shopping Connect appear, and tapping one inserts the standard line. The editor's notice tab warns you if there are affiliate links but no disclosure.
Link pages work on the Free plan (1 link page, 30 products). Auto DM, which sends links to commenters by DM, is available on DM Pro ($8.49/month) and above. Plan differences are on Pricing.
FAQ
Can only businesses join Toss Sharelink?
No. The official guide says you can join without being a business. You need to be a Korean resident aged 19 or older, and individuals prepare their name, resident registration number and a bank account in their own name. Foreign nationals currently can't join (checked 2026-10).
Does a link sent with the app's plain share count?
No. You need to choose 팔릴 때마다 돈 버는 링크 공유하기 in the share menu. The official page says links made with 일반 링크 공유하기 (general link share) aren't counted toward Sharelink commission.
When is the commission paid?
On the 25th of the month after the month of purchase confirmation (next business day on holidays). Automatic confirmation comes 7 days after delivery, so an end-of-month purchase can be paid two months later. The balance must be at least ₩10 when the settlement is finalized.
